Today is a day just like any other.
These hits are just so quick: A man riding his bike from California to Washington DC in protest of the Federal Stimulus Buyouts, was killed in beautiful and scenic Centralia, IL as he was hit by a drunk driver at 1 am on a country road. I’m not sure who to blame more, the drunk driver for his obvious stupidity or the bike rider for riding his bike at 1 am on a country road…..
Toledo Ohio’s recent financial stimulation idea is a doozy. The Mayor of Toledo has told police officers to enforce parking violations including the ambiguous “the city prohibits parking on unpaved surfaces” and the Mayor has stretched that to include gravel driveways. Residents are up in arms because they have recieved parking tickets for parking in their own driveways. You know what I want to know, why do you park on a driveway and drive on a parkway. That’s a much more apt question.
The Cardinals got absolutely housed last night. They still have the 2nd best record in the NL though and are still in first in the NL Central but if they don’t add a bat to the lineup they’re going to be hurting. Ludwick, Duncan, and Ankiel are batting a combined .241 and have 22 HRs and 88 RBI’s. Pujols is batting .328, has 26 HRs, and has 70 RBI’s. I don’t know how much longevity this team is going to have with the lineup that it has now.
Item to Review: Art by Todd Schorr. It’s extremely fascinating and I can’t get enough of it.
